“Ayurveda is the most sacred science of life, beneficial to humans both in this world and the world beyond.” Chakra Samhita, Sutrasthana, 1.42-34
Ayurveda is an ancient holistic medical system established in India that focuses on attaining and maintaining harmony of the mind, body and spirit. It translates to the “science of life” with ‘Ayus’ meaning life and ‘Veda’ meaning sacred knowledge or science.
The primary goal of Ayurveda is self healing by restoring wholeness with our inner self and alleviating the body of any mental and physical ailments.
Ayurveda involves identifying current inbalances and establishing healthy routines and rituals to build and sustain optimal health. Daily practices include eating a healthy and balanced diet for your constitution, getting adequate sleep and exercise, use of herbs And oils, yoga asana, meditation and daily self care such as abhyanga (massage) and tongue scraping.
