Description
Give your nervous system the afternoon it’s been asking for.
If you’ve been running on empty — holding everyone together, keeping the household moving, showing up for everyone else — this afternoon is yours.
Yin Yoga for the Nervous System is a small, intimate class designed for mothers and anyone who needs to genuinely slow down. Held in a quiet, private space in Hackett, Canberra, this two-hour experience is built around long-held, supported yin postures that work directly with your nervous system — helping your body shift out of fight-or-flight and into real, felt rest.
This isn’t a fast flow or a sweaty session. It’s slow, grounding, and deeply nourishing — exactly the kind of practice that most of us never give ourselves permission to do.
What to expect
- A small group of no more than six people — genuinely intimate
- Two hours of guided yin yoga, meditation and journalling with a nervous system focus
- All mats and bolsters provided — just bring yourself
- A recorded guided meditation to take home and return to whenever you need it
- A warm space held by Rachel, founder of Shine Om
- Enjoy a cuppa to keep warm during reflections
This class is for you if…
- You’re a mum who hasn’t stopped in longer than you can remember
- Your body feels tense, wired, or tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix
- You’re curious about yin yoga but haven’t tried it before
- You simply need two uninterrupted hours for yourself
No yoga experience needed. All bodies welcome.
